Dentistry
Animal Dental Clinic of Pittsburgh offers a range of expert dentistry procedures to satisfy your pet's advanced oral and dental needs. Our state-of-the-art practice features the only board certified veterinary dentist in Western Pennsylvania, Dr. Krista Mendoza.
Animal Dental Clinic of Pittsburgh welcomes patients on a referral-only basis. Primary Care Veterinarians need to send a Dental Referral Form and medical records to our fax number or email address to start the appointment process. Prior to scheduling with our clinic, Dr. Mendoza will review your pet's history from the referring veterinarian to identify possible dental problems and evaluate blood work along with any on-going health concerns. Additional blood work, diagnostic testing, preliminary procedures, or medication protocols may be advised before the specialty visit.
Appointments
Initial consultations and appointments are scheduled for Monday, Friday, and Saturday mornings with their surgeries scheduled in the afternoon. Patients are generally able to return home the same day as their consultations and procedures unless they need overnight fluid therapy or are critical cases that require more intensive monitoring.
